The Beer Salon in the Stará tržnica (Old Market Hall) will present breweries from Slovakia, the Czech Republic and other parts of the world by means of tasting.
The aim of the Beer Salon in the Stará tržnica is to present traditionally brewed beer as a beverage having its story, value and exceptionality, and to point out its specific features and different types. At the same time, the intention is to help the exhibition visitors understand the ways of serving and consuming beer, combining beer with various kinds of meals etc.. In addition, the goal is also to raise the value of traditionally brewed beer to the level it deserves. Last but not least, the Beer Salon wants to highlight beneficial effects of beer on human body and general improvements of life quality.

At the end of the summer, from 21st to 23rd of August, Bratislava’s Zlate piesky will host a huge multinational musical uprising for the seventh time in a row. Instead of violence, Uprising will fight in the form of the best music from the world of reggae, dancehall, ska, hip-hop, dubstep, drum&bass, balkan or electro-swing. The latest information is that Uprising Festival is entirely ready and armed with the strongest line-up in its history.

The Gallery Nedbalka and the Centre for Folk Art Production (ÚĽUV) welcome tourists on Mondays, as well. The Big Concert Studio of the Slovak Radio invites you to a concert of the Berkshire Youth Orchestra from Great Britain, conducted by Jonathan Burnett. The performance, which will take place on Thursday, July 24, starting at 19:00 is part of the festival called International Bratislava. At the same time, it will mark the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the First World War

At the International Youth Music Festival, you can look forward to performances of ensembles from the Czech Republic, Hong Kong, Poland, Croatia, Latvia and Ukraine. The opening concert on July 27 at 20:00 will be performed at Hlavné Square by Cappella Istropolitana. This concert is part of the Festival Music Square.

Fans of dance music can look forward to the Bee Free festival, which will take place on July 25 – July 27 at the Water Sports Centre in Čunovo. The event will feature more than 150 DJs and DJ groups who will play on five stages. Entry to the festival is free.

In the concert hall of the Slovak Philharmonic you have the opportunity of an unforgettable experience in the performance of the Slovak acapella formation Close Harmony Friends, whose members use their voices as the only musical instrument.
